Moving Casualties

WARNING! In any situation where you suspect a possible head or spinal injury-DO NOT move the casualty-unless the person is in immediate danger. If the casualty must be moved, some type of rigid spinal support has to be applied.

One-Rescuer Methods

Never move the casualty any further than you have to. Scan the escape routes to determine the best method and route to carry the casualty. If you're alone and must move the casualty quickly, try one of the following rescue carries.

human crutch

Drag Carry
