Surviving A Nuclear Attack
Much of the following information was developed to help people cope in the event of a classic warfare scenario nuclear attack from intercontinental ballistic missiles. It's based on the assumption that there will be a warning period of up to half an hour during which people can prepare for the attack. Although a terrorist nuclear attack in the United States is considered to be less likely to occur than other weapons attacks, it would be a surprise attack with no lead time for preparation.
